Sulphured Dried Apricots
Dried Uzbek Apricots
About Uzbek Dried Apricots
Sourced from the fertile orchards of the Fergana Valley, our dried apricots benefit from the diverse climates and rich soils of these renowned agricultural areas. The Fergana Valley is known for its lush, fruit-producing landscapes.
We export a single, carefully selected variety of sulphured dried apricots: Subkhona, the flagship apricot variety of Uzbekistan.
Subkhona apricots are distinguished by their vibrant natural orange color, rich and full-bodied flavor, and firm yet tender texture. They are cultivated and processed under strict quality standards to meet the expectations of the international food industry.
Thanks to their consistent sizing, visual appeal, and stable quality profile, Subkhona dried apricots are particularly well suited for retail, culinary applications, and wholesale distribution.
Our focus on one premium variety allows us to ensure reliability, traceability, and uniform quality, delivering a product that meets the demands of discerning buyers across global markets.
Our Sulfuring Drying Method
At the heart of our process for delivering premium-quality dried apricots is the use of sulfuring, a widely recognized method that enhances both the appearance and shelf life of the product. This process involves treating the apricots with sulfur dioxide (SO₂), which serves multiple essential functions.
Firstly, sulfuring helps accelerate the drying process, ensuring that moisture levels are reduced efficiently without compromising the fruit’s texture. Secondly, it plays a vital role in preserving the apricots’ vibrant color, preventing the natural darkening that often occurs during drying. This treatment also acts as a protective barrier against insect infestations, further safeguarding the integrity of the product.
To maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, the sulfur dioxide content in our apricots is meticulously regulated, with levels not exceeding 2000 ppm (parts per million). This careful control ensures that the product not only meets international food safety standards but also retains its exceptional taste, texture, and visual appeal over time.
By using this sulfuring method, we are able to offer a product that delivers consistent quality, with the rich flavor and bright, appetizing appearance that make our apricots a standout choice for professional buyers in the food industry.
